Got Bread Crumbs?
Here’s a creative way to use crumbs to spice up any recipe!
If you find yourself out of bread crumbs or if you want a little different flavor for a dish you are using them for, use the crumbs at the bottom of your crouton bag, the crushed chips at the bottom of the potato chip bag or any kind of cracker (I love Ritz on all casseroles).

Thank-you for the tip. I am gluten free and tend to either buy gf bread crumbs or make my own bread for crumbs. Both are expensive.
But using chip crumbs is such a great idea! I’ll be trying this idea with my newly found favorite meatloaf recipe. I hope it works! That will save me a ton of money.
Thank-you for a great blog and a great tip.

I add oatmeal to meat loaf because its better for my health. (lots tastier than as breakfast cereal too!)

for moister meat loaf soak saltine crackers in a bit of milk. Use instead of dry and the meat loaf is nice and moist but not wet.
In a pinch you can use rice krispies for crumbs instead of crackers or corn flakes. they get smaller and are less noticeable but still very good tasting.
add a can of salmon some salt pepper and dill and 1 egg to 2 cups of corn flakes and make into patties for salmon burgers. fast easy and very good.
