Ingredients

1 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 onion, chopped
5 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
salt and pepper (to taste)
5 Tbsp. dry milk
2 cups water
12 cups leftover beef
1 tsp. beef bouillon powder
1 small can mushroom pieces

Instructions

  1. Sauté onion in margarine in a large skillet.
  2. Mix flour, salt and pepper and dry milk in a jar.
  3. Add water and shake.
  4. Stir into onions.
  5. Simmer until thickened.
  6. Add beef, bouillon powder and drained mushrooms.

Reduce the heat. Simmer, stirring constantly, until heated through. Serve over noodles, rice or mashed potatoes or toast. Serves 4.
