Hi Tawra,
I just have a quick question about the peppermint in this recipe. Is the peppermint peppermint extract or fresh peppermint? The timing of this post seems to be fate. My son just noticed a commercial this morning for the new Chips Ahoy cookies, specifically the chocolate chip mint which is high up there are on his favorite flavor combinations list. He perked up and said “Oooo Mom I want those!” And here you go posting a homemade cookie with the same flavor combination. It is fate I tell ya. I can’t wait to make a batch and watch the yummy expression on his face when he takes the first bite. Thank you for sharing what you do with us.

It’s extract.
