Here’s a tasty Amish hamburger casserole recipe that is rich and delicious! It’s another quick and easy variation of this tasty family meal that your family will love!

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups egg noodles, cooked
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
4 oz. (1/2 cup) cottage cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 lb. ground beef
2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
1/4 green bell pepper, diced
1 (8 oz.) can diced tomatoes, drained
1/2 cup condensed tomato soup (not diluted)
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°.
  2. Spray a 9×13 inch casserole dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  3. Cook the noodles, according to the package instructions.
  4. Drain and set aside.
  5. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, stir together the softened cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, and melted butter. Set aside.
  6. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium high heat until no longer pink.
  7. Drain the excess fat.
  8. Return the beef to the skillet and add onion, bell pepper, diced tomatoes, tomato soup and Worcestershire sauce.
  9. Stir to combine.
  10. Place half of the cooked pasta in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  11. Top with half of the cream cheese mixture and half of the meat mixture.
  12. Repeat the layers with the remaining cream cheese and meat mixtures.
  13. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  14. Bake 30 minutes.
