1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar, packed
1/23/4 cup milk
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°.
  2. Cream butter and brown sugar.
  3. Add milk; Blend until smooth.
  4. Add flour, baking soda, and salt; Mix well.
  5. Blend in nuts.
  6. Roll into a log shape and wrap in wax paper.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator several hours.
  8. Cut into 1/4 inch slices and place on a greased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake for 5-10 minutes until done.
