Ingredients

Units

3 medium avocados, ripened
1 Tbsp. lime or lemon juice (or the juice of 1 lime)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder (or 1/4 cup onions, diced)
1 tsp salt
1/4 to 1/2 cup salsa (to taste) or 1/2 cup diced Roma tomatoes (optional)
cilantro (optional, to taste)
jalapeños (optional, to taste)

Instructions

  1. Slice avocados in half lengthwise.
  2. Scoop with a spoon into a medium bowl.
  3. Add lime or lemon juice.
  4. Add garlic, onion and salt.
  5. Mash avocados with a fork and stir until they are mixed together to the desired consistency. (I usually make them fairly smooth, but you can leave bigger chunks if you like them that way.)
  6. Stir in tomatoes, cilantro or jalapeños, if desired.
