Ingredients

2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 Tbsp. white vinegar or rice vinegar
1 cup vegetable broth or water
1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. canola oil
1 tsp. onion powder
3 Tbsp. garlic, chopped or 1 tsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. ginger, chopped or 1 tsp. ginger powder
2 lbs. Chinese chicken base (Recipe above)

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients except the chicken base to a medium saucepan.
  2. Stir to mix.
  3. Cook for 5 minutes, until the mixture begins to thicken.
  4. Pour over the Chinese chicken.
