Can you freeze these? How do you recommend reheating them if you freeze them?
melissa
I freeze these. I made some for Feb vacation. I save my cereal bags. I wash and dry the wax bags. I make the cheeseburger rolls. Cool them . I put them in the wax bags. I press the air out tightly wrap them taping the bags down. I put them in a ziplock bag and into the frezzer.
I microwave them for about a minute if they are thawed. I sometimes put them in the oven on a sheet pan for 15 minutes at 350

I cook these 90 seconds from frozen!

question are they healthy recipes i’m looking for healthy
Jill
Molly it is hard to say. We think they are healthy but so many people have different ideas of what “healthy” is now that it is hard to keep up with it. One thing people always say about our book that no matter what special diets they are on that our recipes are so very easy to adapt to use on special diets and to adjust to different family members needs.

If you don’t over eat yes they are healthy. They have protein, a healthy homemade carb with the homemade roll recipe. Cheese is another protein. If you pair this with a green veggie it is a well rounded meal. If you eat ten of them and a bag of chips then you will not have a healthy result.

I am 65 with fibromyalgia and depression. My mother is 85 and I “take care” of her. We really take care of each other, she doesn’t go out or drive anymore but she does what she can. We feed a picky cat and dog and eat well on a below poverty budget for 2 people (2018). We eat very well but do not waste. My dog eats steak if we do. I have seen our budget decrease an average of $114.57 in the past ten months. I have been using the online Walmart service. We have tried the Walmart brands and have found them to be very good. We insist on Dukes mayonnaise, so we don’t compromise on some things. Monday is stir fry and I always fix a frozen egg roll appetizer and serve with rice or noodles. Tuesday is burgers, fries, or sandwiches with soup, salad, or fries. Wednesday is experiment, because so many people get lazy in that department as they get older, Thursday is thrifty, Friday is fish, and Saturday is fun. We switch but try to have a planned menu to go by. I noticed you save cereal bags. I use flip top sandwich bags and package all my meat individually. I then put the sandwich bags in a ziploc freezer bag. I like to put about 1/2 pound ground beef in each bag and flatten it into a square. By placing bread in refrigerator and shopping only around the first and fifteenth we know what needs to be used up and don’t throw much away. I broke my leg a few years ago due to osteoporosis, probably because of my problem with low potassium and vitamin D. We use a gallon of milk a week and take a multivitamin daily. Our vitamins and toiletries, cleaning, and other miscellaneous items are included. I do think anyone that has fibromyalgia should take advantage of grocery pickup and use Walmart, by far the cheapest. We live about 15 miles away but I can pick groceries and get back quicker than going 5 miles to the closest Walmart. I agree, people fail to plan and to work their plan. I can’t believe how some younger women feed their children, thank goodness my daughter does her best to get meals on the table as much as possible. I have enjoyed your web site and YouTube videos. Thanks for your hard work.

I bet taco seasoning would be good also. You could serve them with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole.

Add chopped pickles!

Made these for the first time. Used 1/4 a slice of American cheese in place of Cheddar. Also used seasoning salt in place of the seasonings suggested. Whole family loved them.

What is ninety minute roll dough? I live overseas so I have no idea what it is. If it’s store-bought, what simple substitute do you recommend. If it’s homemade, where would I find a recipe for it? I looked on this website but couldn’t find it.
Jill
It is on the website Tiffany and is the best and easiest roll recipe (like dinner rolls) ever here it is https://www.livingonadime.com/90-minute-rolls-recipe-dough/
