This Cinnamon Crumb Banana Bread Recipe adds a little extra spice to regular banana bread. It’s an easy breakfast recipe that’s quick and easy to make ahead for brunches, company and more!
Cinnamon Crumb Banana Bread Recipe
1 egg
1 cup sugar
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 overripe bananas, mashed
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
Crumb Topping:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup flour
4 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of salt
Beat together the sugar, butter, egg and vanilla. Add buttermilk and bananas. Mix all the dry ingredients together then add to wet. Pour batter into greased loaf pan. Fill within 2 inches of top.
Crumb Topping: Using your hands, mix all of the crumb ingredients and crumble the mixture over the batter in the pan. Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 45 – 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
