Ingredients

8 oz. butter (2 sticks)
17 oz. (2 cups plus 2 Tablespoons) evaporated milk
16 oz. light corn syrup
6 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Butter a 9×13 baking pan well.
  2. Place all ingredients in a large Dutch oven.
  3. Cook to 244° at sea level (adjust for high altitude, as needed).
  4. Beat 15 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  5. Spread evenly into the prepared pan, then score into portions before it cools completely.
